Zakaria Tavberidze
Junior Research Fellow in Sustainability Transitions & PhD candidate at the University of Tartu
Zakaria Tavberidze is a Junior Research Fellow and doctoral student in Sustainable Transition Studies at the Institute of Social Science at the University of Tartu.
His academic interests focus on social change at a systemic level. He has more than 10 years of experience conducting quantitative and qualitative research on sustainable development and has worked with local and international NGOs in Georgia. He has also taught sociology at Ilia State University and the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs.
Zakaria has published research on community resilience and development. His current work focuses on Deep Transitions, particularly the mechanisms that block sustainable social change.
